Purpose of Role:

The Tax and Statutory Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient tax planning, reporting, and compliance for all entities of EY in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

\\[ Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in UAE taxation laws, regulations, and policies.
\\[ Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR) in compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
\\[ Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and reporting of tax-related transactions.
\\[ Preparation of statutory financial statements and related audit schedules
\\[ Liaising with internal and external auditors with respect to financial audits/ICV audits and coordinating with other parts of Finance and Business to provide audit requirements
\\[ Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and completion of financial statement audits and ICV audits
\\[ Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related compliance requirements.
\\[ Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the organization, and recommend necessary adjustments.
\\[ Respond to tax authorities\' inquiries, notices, and audits, and assist in resolving any tax-related issues.
\\[ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to tax compliance efforts.
\\[ Review quarterly balance sheet schedules
\\[ Monitor fixed asset register and GR/IR

Qualifications and Skills:

\\[ Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master\'s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) preferred
\\[ In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
\\[ Proficiency in relevant accounting software
\\[ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations
\\[ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
\\[ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
\\[ Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
\\[ Prior experience in liaising with tax authorities and handling tax audits is a plus
