JOB DESCRIPTION

TAX and Compliance Manager will be responsible for corporate tax, contracts prepare and review, support the wider tax function within the indirect tax business unit, cross-functional business process reviews as per local legislative requirements and regulatory requirements to ensure that the company is adequately complying with all of its obligations.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Five or more years' experience in UAE VAT, dealing with corporate tax risks and conduct company auditing.
• Have compliance experience and be able to guide and regulate compliance in company operation and tax.
• Have experience in preparing and checking corporate memos, contracts, agreements, and other documentations.

FOLLOWING WILL BE A PLUS:

Be familiar with banks' up to date regulations. Established or maintain good relationships with banks, be able to coordinate bank account opening and closing, bank acquires, account annual review, KYC requirements etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the company tax risks ensuring that business activities comply with local tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare legal memos, contracts, agreements, correspondence and reports.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on all issues related to contracts and giving advice on legal and commercial risks related to business activities.
• Assist in providing advice and propose solutions to support business requirements (including assisting in industry engagement and liaison with local tax authorities).
• Respond to routine tax queries from the local business and support functions. Establish and maintain a good cooperative relationship with government tax authorities, bank tax authorities and accounting firms.
• Review tax reports and coordinate annual financial audit report.
• Conduct compliance check and review as required, and issue compliance opinions.
• Monitor the Company's operation and employee dealing and perform compliance Anti Bribery and AML checking to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Organize and carry out compliance risk arising mainly from trade business assessment and alert, compliance monitoring, compliance interviews, compliance check and compliance assessment, etc.
• Lead the management of customer risks by conducting KYC process and review of customers/ clients.
• Liaise with government bodies and handle regulators' enquiry, notification requirement, reporting, inspection, and investigation

Requirements:

• 5-10 years UAE solid experience in company tax and regulations are preferred.
• Degree holder or above with major in Tax, Law, Risk Management, or other related disciplines.
• Solid understanding of Local and international audit, laws & regulations, standards and market practices, solid knowledge of risk management framework (including compliance risk, operational risk, fraud risk, etc.) and risk model, customer due diligence, screening and sanctions compliance, transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting
• Mature, independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, report writing and presentation skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED16,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
