BAT KUWAIT IS LOOKING FOR A TAX ANALYST FUNCTION: Finance LOCATION: Kuwait ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES The role is responsible to perform a range of corporate tax compliance and/or advisory work to support the effective management of BAT\xe2\x80\x99s corporate tax position, including corporate tax liabilities, tax reporting, transfer pricing and ensuring compliance with all statutory positions. Reports to: Country Finance Manager Geographic Scope: Kuwait WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Provide proactive support to implement opportunities for enhancing tax management effectiveness and to assist teams in delivering the global tax strategy.
- Advise on specific aspects of corporate tax compliance and tax management.
- Ensure tax compliance as per country\xe2\x80\x99s regulations (ex: Retention Tax)
- Execute specialist corporate tax activities following agreed global standard processes and frameworks
- Produce agreed management and statutory tax reporting
- Identify opportunities and implement for continuous improvement with regard to tax management processes and systems.
- Keep up to date with tax law changes that will impact the business and make recommendations in respect of such changes and related tax planning initiatives
- Act as a proactive business partner to identify opportunities for enhancing tax effectiveness and commercial results
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with professional accountancy/legal and tax qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Kuwait tax environment (Preferably Big4 experience)
- Effective working relationships with tax authorities
- Broad experience in large global organisation
- Influencing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent corporate tax technical knowledge
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- FMCG experience is a plus
