Work Location is Abu Dhabi.

Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers. * Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.

• Deploy servers and all system related equipment.
• Manage all infrastructure operating systems.
• Manage corporate forward and reverse Internet proxies.
• Perform system and security audits.
• Analyse system, server device performance.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems.
• Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services.
• Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures for system Support Engineers and appropriate use.
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
• Perform day-to-day administrative functions of the VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
• Provide the Senior Management with reports and performance health checks when required.
• Provide afterhours/weekend support for critical systems and scheduled maintenance when necessary.
• Plan, design and implement the Virtual Infrastructure disaster recovery.
• Plan, design and implement storage solution.
• Manage all corporate server and storage hardware.
• Monitor virtual networking and configurations of both Ethernet and fiber channel.
• Manage Active Directory, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform and test routine system backups and restores of infrastructure applications.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers.
• Analyse system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of companys strategic business plans.
• Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Engineers, and other IT technical personnel.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development; recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
• Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
• Write technical specifications for purchase of corporate technology equipment, hardware, and related products.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Lead the design and implementation of compute systems including hardware, software & operating systems.
• Coordinate and collaborate with network and application teams to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands.
• Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
• Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
• Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
• Manage and maintain all server operating systems.
• Design, deploy and manage corporate file server.
