Al Tamimi & Company is hiring a Systems engineer to manage and support the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s IT Systems and networks to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business systems.
Duties & Responsibilities Strategy & Planning
Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
Acquisition & Deployment
Coordinate with users, first, second line support and suppliers to implement desktop, server network systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
Operational Management
Provide user support and administration in respect of the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise systems and networks according to from agreed SLAs.
Manage communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications.
Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, laptops, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
Analyze system, server, application, network, and desktop/laptop devices performance.
Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
Create required reports in response to system availability and SLA requirements.
Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
Manage and/or provide guidance to first line support team members.
Create training material and provide ad hoc training on Enterprise Applications
Requirements & Personal Attributes Formal Education & Certification
University degree in the field of computer science (or equivalent) and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
Certifications in ITIL, MSCE, A+, N+
Knowledge & Experience
5 years + MS Azure
5 years + MS Exchange/ O365
5 years + networking and firewalls
High level of skill in MS Office suite
5 years + experience in supporting enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, etc.)
Proven experience in VDI technologies (advantageous)
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Expert scripting and PowerShell
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Knowledge of applicable IT Security and data privacy practices and laws.
An understanding of Lean Principles
