JOB OBJECTIVE The System Engineer performs a subset of the system engineering activities required to develop a solution:Analyses the customer's and other stakeholders' needs whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, ...)Describes the missions, functions and requirements on the solutionFormalizes the specification and the architectural design to develop the solutionPrepares and performs the solution integration, verification and validation tests ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES The position will be located in UAE but there are travels to France expected at the beginning of the project (plan several trips of few weeks/months). Design and Develop part of the Solution Understand Contexts and User Needs Contribute to the Development Strategy Formalize requirements (at system and subsystem levels) Deliver associated documentation (requirements, design, interface documents, test and verification procedures)Participate in integration and test activitiesTools used in the project:IBM DOORS - requirement managementJIRA - change managementVIVALDI (Thales tool) - IVVQ management WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years of experience in:System Engineering roleand/orSystem Integration and Verification roleand/orSoftware Engineering rolePreferred domains of knowledge:Tactical Data Link systemsCommunication NetworksRadio and RF applicationsMission critical systems e.g. C2 / C4Large and complex systemsWorking experience in writing of technical documentation (English) QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum Bachelor Degree in computer Sciences or equivalentCertification in System Engineering discipline is an added advantageProficient in English languageFrench / Arabic are an added advantage PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE The role requires significant client and supplier facing interaction in a technical context and the candidate must have demonstrated experience in this environment.Co EngineeringAutonomyRigorousTeam workAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
