Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate senior Systems Engineer to join the C4I applications development team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Responsibilities:

• Analysis of high-level and stakeholder requirements
• Design and develop architecture for secure, high-bandwidth and low-latency military communication systems, including SATCOM, HF/VHF/UHF radios
• Ensure communication system design meet military standards (e.g. MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461)
• Definition of internal and external interfaces
• IP-based protocols and secure wireless networks
• Develop, configure and test communication protocols, including MIL-STD protocols,
• Deriving new requirements at system to component level considering all engineering aspects (e.g., communication network, safety, IT-security, RAM-T, Logistics, SW, HW)
• Ensure flow-down of requirements to design solutions
• Support system design reviews
• Support identification and management of risks and opportunities, including de-risk of system design activities
• Integrate COTS and custom-built hardware and software into military networks
• Work in collaboration with SE, SW, ITV, Simulation, QA and CM teams and delivery of product's baselines
• Collaborate with and report to the System Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• Qualification: PhD, Masters or Bachelors - Computer Engineer / Software Engineer / Electronic Engineer / Telecommunications Engineer / Mathematics
• 10+ years of experience with Communications Systems Engineering
• Expert in military communication protocols and systems
• Experience in military encryption devices
• Experience in implementing systems compliant with military certifications
• Experience in developing complex systems according to V-Model
• Knowledge of SE best practices, i.e. according to INCOSE or NASA Systems Engineering Handbooks
• Knowledge of MBSE development and languages (e.g. SysML, UML)
• Knowledge of Architecture Frameworks, e.g. DODAF, TOGAF, NAF
• Ability to build excellent working relationships with team members and external departments, customers and other key stakeholders
• Be able to communicate with all levels of the project and provide technical information to stakeholders in a clear technical and non-technical documentation
• System thinking and ability to see the big picture
• Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure
• Good level of spoken and written English language (upper-intermediate)
