Job Description
Role purpose:
- Ability to run scheduled production jobs and tasks assigned to Data Center operations team
- Monitor systems and applications performance through event management and report issues to the concerned support team to maintain availability and accuracy of production required activity
- Ability to automate some manual jobs over Linux/Windows platforms
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Responsible for Monitoring and executing production scheduled and on demand tasks for Data Center operations .
- Responsible for Reporting on abnormal behavior or abortion of and production tasks and system status and application performance ..
- Responsible for executing recovery scenarios for any failed executions.
- Responsible for handling all assigned Billing activities and BI with accuracy and reference to agreed SLA .
- Responsible for manage the backup systems and tape media
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- 0 -2 years’ experience in an IT
- B.Sc. in Computer, Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science.
- Excellent English and Reporting Skills
- Multi-Tasking
- Process oriented
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Oracle DB Administration
- knowledge in SQL scripting
- Microsoft OS: 2000/XP/Win 7, Microsoft Office.
- knowledge of Linux/Unix
- knowledge of ITIL certification preferred
