Switchgear Manufacturing - Project Manager ELV
Job Title: Project Manager - ELV Systems
Report To: Head of Projects / Director of Operations
Job Summary:
The ELV Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) system projects, from tender handover to final commissioning and handover. This includes structured cabling, security systems, BMS, AV, and other integrated systems, often for the switchgear and panel manufacturing division's clients.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management plans.
• Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing expectations, communications, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design Coordination: Liaise with the design team (in-house or external) to review shop drawings, schematics, and technical submittals, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Procurement & Logistics: Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, coordinating with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery to site.
• Site Execution Management: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and other subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems with other building services.
• Financial Control: Monitor project financials, including cost tracking, invoicing, variation orders, and ensuring project profitability.
• Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in ELV systems, with at least 5 years in a project management role. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of multiple ELV systems (e.g., BMS, Access Control, CCTV, Structured Cabling). Understanding of switchgear and panel integration is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
