We are a high-end Japanese restaurant seeking an experienced
Sushi Maker / Japanese Line Cook
to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in traditional and modern Japanese cuisine, with hands-on experience preparing
sushi, sushi rolls, and ramen
in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls with precision and consistency
Prepare ramen and related components (broth, noodles, toppings) as needed
Ensure all food meets high-end presentation, taste, and quality standards
Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times
Work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining attention to detail
Assist with prep work, inventory, and station organization
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and teamwork
Qualifications
2+ years of experience
as a Sushi Maker or Japanese Line Cook (high-end or traditional Japanese restaurant experience strongly preferred)
Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi-grade fish
Experience making a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and ramen
Understanding of Japanese ingredients, techniques, and kitchen etiquette
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Willing to work in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
Willing to attend interview and trial in Al Ain only.
