The Surveyor Engineer will be responsible for conducting land and construction surveys, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with engineering and construction standards. The role requires strong technical, mathematical, and mapping skills, as well as familiarity with modern surveying tools and software.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction site surveys.
Use surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and 3D scanners to collect accurate data.
Analyze survey results and create detailed reports, drawings, and maps.
Assist in the preparation of site plans, layouts, and profiles for civil engineering and construction projects.
Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to support project planning and execution.
Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
Monitor site progress and verify contractor work aligns with design and survey plans.
Prepare documentation for land development, easements, rights-of-way, and property boundaries.
Provide technical guidance to junior staff or technicians when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
Professional certification or licensure) is preferred or required depending on region.
4+ years of experience in surveying, civil engineering, or related fields.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other surveying software.
Strong knowledge of GPS, GIS, and conventional surveying methods.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
