As part of our planned continued expansion we require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with customers. An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager/Stores & Logistics Manager within our Dubai Team. This position will report to the Regional Director of the Dubai MRO site. Responsible to manage procurement functions and processes to oversee all Logistics operations. Lead planning, implementing, and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity. As Supply Chain, Stores & Logistics Manager, you would have a proven portfolio within the aviation sector, industry knowledge, preferably in the Middle East region and have an incipient network within the aerospace industry.
Accountabilities
  • Develop strategic relationship with suppliers and manage vendor performance, monitoring performance correction programs.
  • Provide functional support to Dubai MRO Value Streams and develop the material planning team to ensure the availability of all the requirements for the aircraft and component maintenance activities.
  • Interfacing with other departments to ensure the procurement activities are met in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Setting the yearly budgets and monitoring the ongoing year budget compliance.
  • Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders in managing shipping of products from the site to customers to optimize service, cost, and product flow.
  • Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Responsible to ensure the material planning, procurement & logistics group maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and to ensure timely production flow transitions.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers.
  • Collaborate with operations to expeditiously address any deficiencies and outstanding corrective actions within the Stores & Logistics areas of responsibility.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. Liaising with government agencies for renewal of permits.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Leads, hires, trains, and develops the Stores & Logistics team.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business or related field required; Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position.
  • Aerospace industry experience of Supply Chain Management, Stores & Logistics (minimum 3 years), preferably in an MRO.
  • Supply Chain Management certification is strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors to reach out to for various projects. Previous experience with Supply Chain Management is essential.
  • Must have manage an ERP system e.g. SAP and strong computer skills.
  • Experience managing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with export documentation, import documentation and classification preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to assist other departments as necessary.
  • Ability to cross-train in other areas/departments.
Work Authorization & Other Information:
  • UAE work visa is obtained as per JAFZA process.
  • Work Timings: MON \xe2\x80\x93 FRI, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (break inclusive).
  • Office Location is JAFZA (South), near Gate 12.
