Job Description

Purpose: - To maximize retail sales and operating profit store in line with company objectives. Assistant Manager guides the success of a store by leading and motivating the staff, developing and managing the service environment and presenting a clean, neat, and organized shopping environment for the customers.
Minimum Requirements: -
Graduate
Preferred Retail Management diploma/degree
Key Accountabilities: -
Store Operations
Optimize sales in line with company budgets. Achieve targets Individual & Company.
Manage operating costs within budgetary guidelines. Ensures store administration is going smooth and is being reviewed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Monitor the handling of customer complaints in line with Company policy.
To maintain strict levels of confidentiality with regard to all areas of the business particularly commercial information and personal details of employees.
Ensure store expectations and priorities are communicated to staff and regularly review and provide feedback on staff's performance against expectations.
Ensure regular showroom staff meetings are carried out to communicate business goals and training delivered.
Maintain high standards of visual appearance throughout the store including all non-retail areas.
Maintain window and in-store displays to a high standard in line with merchandising & sales.
Maintain a high level of store security for company assets, cash, and stock guidelines.
Monitor sales performance against last year, last week and budget on a daily and weekly basis and to give feedback to managers and to communicate to staff.
Customer Service
Build relationships with customers
Ensure that the Customer queries and complaints are resolved immediately
Recommend and implement privilege card for the customers.
Recommend and Implement systems relating to best practices in customer service management.
Discuss / highlight customer feedback with Brand Manager / Operations manager for appropriate actions.
Inventory Management
Operate an effective stock management system to maximize sales and profitability.
Ensure the prevention of stock losses within your store by driving awareness and implementing preventative plans.
Back Store Management: Ensure the space is allocated as per the sales trends.
Ensures that sizes are replenished from the back store on a daily basis.
Co-ordinate with Warehouse for the stock's requirement.
People Management
Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job through career planning
Ensure compliance to Company policies and values
Carry out regular and relevant in-store training and enroll staff on relevant Learning and Development courses in line with the training team.
Deal with staff discipline, performance, and grievances in accordance with the company policy.
Ensure all staff are appraised in line with company guidelines
Visual Merchandising
Maintains the look of the store in consultation with the Visual Merchandiser
Makes the store more convenient for self service
Highlighting the attributes that lead to higher sale (price, offers etc)
Competition Mapping
Identifying competitors in each and every category. Comparing their prices, their suppliers, and quality with our products.
Miscellaneous
Identifying competitors in each & every category. Comparing the prices, their suppliers, & quality with that of the store. Weekly price & collection, appearance of the stores to be monitored.
Ensure that staff adopt and adhere to the company dress code in order to promote a positive and professional image at all times.
