The Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all catering operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing catering staff, coordinating event logistics, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining smooth communication between clients and the catering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead catering staff during events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
Coordinate with clients to understand their catering needs and ensure service meets expectations.
Manage inventory and ensure all catering supplies and food are prepared and available on time.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards to comply with health and safety regulations.
Schedule and assign tasks to catering team members efficiently.
Train and mentor new and existing staff to maintain high service standards.
Handle any issues or complaints promptly and professionally during catering events.
Collaborate with chefs, event planners, and vendors to deliver seamless catering experiences.
Prepare reports on catering activities, staff performance, and customer feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies and local health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or food service supervision.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to handle multiple events and work under pressure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Relevant certification in food safety (preferred).
