Sub Editor
Job Description
The National, the Middle East's leading quality news organisation, is looking for a sub-editor to help maintain a high standard of copy across our expanding global operation. Candidates should have a track record of subbing for newspapers or news websites and an excellent standard of written English. You should be a flexible team player, capable of working across multiple platforms including digital, print, video and live blogs. Knowledge of Middle East politics and culture would be an advantage. This is an opportunity to join The National during a period of unprecedented expansion. As well as a substantial team in the UAE, we now have sub-editors in London, Washington DC and Melbourne, and correspondents in locations including Beirut, Cairo, Riyadh, Baghdad and Amman. You would be based outside the UAE, working remotely as part of our global team. The payment for this role is competitive. Job Type: Full-time
