The Student Counsellor will offer one-on-one counselling sessions, career planning guidance, and contribute to a safe and supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide confidential 1:1 counselling to support students\' emotional and social well-being
• Conduct group sessions where collective issues are identified
• Collaborate with staff to address student needs, ensuring access to counselling for all
• Support students in goal setting, subject selection, and university applications
• Organize career-related events, including talks and workshops
• Maintain open communication with parents within confidentiality limits
• Train staff to identify and address student mental health issues
• Liaise with external agencies and professionals as needed

Reporting & MIS

• Maintain accurate counselling records and case documentation
• Report on key student development indicators and service usage

Governance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with child protection policies and safeguarding procedures
• Promote awareness of counselling services within the school community
• Stay current on best practices in youth counselling and career development

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Certification in school counselling or career guidance is a plus
• Minimum of 3 years\' experience in an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills
• Familiarity with safeguarding policies and student well-being initiatives
