Position Overview
AECOM Middle East is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Structures Senior BIM Technician to join its Building Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural BIM models for complex building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), company standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination, and maintenance of structural BIM models from concept to construction stages.
• Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and data management standards.
• Generate accurate 2D drawings, sections, elevations, and details from BIM models.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary models to ensure design consistency and eliminate clashes.
• Conduct model audits, quality checks, and ensure adherence to company-wide BIM standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and project teams to translate design intent accurately.
• Manage Common Data Environment (CDE) setup, file management, and version control for ongoing projects.
• Use digital tools and quality software (e.g., Revit Model Checker, Navisworks, Dynamo) to ensure model integrity.
• Support training and mentoring of junior technicians to enhance team efficiency.
• Assist in implementing new digital technologies and BIM innovations across projects.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4-6 years of professional experience in structural BIM modeling, preferably in large multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with knowledge of interoperability with other AEC tools.
• Experience in model setup, sheet creation, annotation workflows, and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, coordination procedures, and design workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and digital project delivery frameworks preferred.
