Structural Engineer (Office-based, Full-Time)

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed structural analysis and design of buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure. Prepare and review engineering drawings, GA drawings, structural details, and calculation reports. Ensure compliance with local and international design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode). Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and site teams to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions. Conduct site visits for structural assessment, progress tracking, and troubleshooting as required. Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and project documentation. Support project planning, tendering, and estimation processes. Use structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural engineering (consultancy or EPC environment). Proficiency in structural design software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, etc.). Strong knowledge of construction materials, structural systems, and foundation engineering. Excellent understanding of relevant codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocode, etc.). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of BIM workflows and tools (especially Revit Structure). Experience in steel structure detailing and connection design. Knowledge of seismic and wind load analysis. Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project) is a plus. Experience with UK residential construction standards, including traditional housing and modern timber frame systems. Familiarity with timber/wood structural design, including joinery, load distribution, and wood treatment considerations.
