Job Overview

Build Earth Contracting is seeking an experienced

Project Engineer - Civil Works

to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage on-site civil construction activities from the structural phase through to finishing works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive UAE experience in both structural concrete works and finishing trades.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Works Supervision:

Oversee and manage structural civil works on-site, including steel reinforcement (rebar) installation, formwork/shuttering setup, and high-quality concrete casting/pouring. Ensure all structural work complies with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

Finishing Works Coordination:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise finishing works such as plastering, painting, tiling, and related activities. Guarantee high-quality finishes and that all finishing work aligns with design specifications and client expectations.

End-to-End Project Oversight:

Oversee the complete construction workflow from initial structural stages through to final finishing. Coordinate between different teams and subcontractors at each phase to ensure seamless progression of work and adherence to project timelines.

Quality Control & Safety:

Implement and monitor quality control measures for both structural and finishing works. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets the required standards and that safety protocols are strictly followed. Address issues promptly to maintain quality and safety on site.

Team Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and labor crews to align daily activities with project goals. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders (including contractors and suppliers) to resolve technical issues and keep the project on schedule.

Documentation:

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, method statements, and quality checklists for civil works. Provide updates on project status and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum

6 years of civil engineering experience in the UAE

, with proven hands-on involvement in structural works (steel reinforcement, formwork/shuttering, concrete casting) andfinishing works (plastering, painting, tiling, etc.).

UAE Familiarity:

Currently based in the UAE

(required). In-depth understanding of UAE construction practices, local building codes, and regulations.

Project Expertise:

Demonstrated ability to oversee full project cycles from structural execution through finishing stages, ensuring quality and compliance at each step.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials for both concrete structural work and interior/exterior finishes. Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.

Leadership:

Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to supervise and motivate on-site teams and subcontractors, maintaining productivity and morale.

Communication:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Problem-Solving:

Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues quickly. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and implementing solutions.

Commitment to Safety:

A solid track record of enforcing safety standards on construction sites, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
