Job Overview:

The Structural Engineer - Design will be responsible for performing structural analysis, preparing detailed designs, and developing engineering documentation for building and infrastructure projects. This role is purely design-focused within a consultancy environment, ensuring compliance with Qatar authorities and international design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and detailed design of reinforced concrete and steel structures. Prepare detailed design drawings, calculation sheets, technical specifications, and reports. Use industry-standard software such as

ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Robot, Revit Structure

. Coordinate with architects, civil, MEP, and geotechnical teams to ensure integrated design solutions. Ensure all designs comply with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), local authority requirements (e.g., Ashghal, MMUP), and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes). Review and verify shop drawings and material submittals when required. Support in preparing tender documents, design basis reports, and technical presentations. Conduct design checks, QA/QC reviews, and ensure accuracy of drawings prepared by CAD/BIM teams. Respond to technical queries from internal teams, clients, and authorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

(Master's preferred).

Minimum 5-10 years of experience

in structural design within a consultancy/design firm. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Revit Structure). Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design principles. Familiarity with local authority requirements and international design codes. Good coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
