roads and infrastructure projects
in Qatar. The QS will be responsible for monitoring contractor payments, verifying quantities on-site, evaluating variations and claims, and supporting commercial aspects of the project in line with
QCS 2014
,
Ashghal standards
, and the consultancy's internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and validate
BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents
in line with project specifications.
Evaluate
contractor claims, variations, and payment applications
and prepare recommendations.
Provide
cost control and financial management
throughout project lifecycle.
Assist in contract administration, including
claims management, risk assessment, and dispute resolution
.
Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and feasibility studies for design stages.
Review
tender submissions
and prepare evaluation reports.
Prepare and maintain accurate
project cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows
.
Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and site teams to ensure cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with
Ashghal, PWA, and other authority standards
for infrastructure and road projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in
Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering
(Master's preferred).
Minimum 10 years' QS experience
, including at least 5 years with a
consultant company in Qatar
.
Strong background in
infrastructure, roads, utilities, and buildings
projects.
In-depth knowledge of
FIDIC contracts, QCS, and local authority regulations
.
Proficient in
MS Excel, cost management software, and AutoCAD
.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Strong command of written and spoken
English
; Arabic is an advantage.
