Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our engineering team for onshore oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and execution of structural design deliverables during the engineering phase, including FEED and Detailed Engineering. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in structural design and detailing, a strong understanding of engineering workflows, and familiarity with international and client-specific standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and prepare structural design drawings, including general arrangements, foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and other related facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, industry codes (such as ACI, AISC, BS, ASTM), and client requirements.
• Work closely with Structural Engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated design coordination.
• Generate and review 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart 3D, and other relevant software.
• Interpret and implement engineering input and sketches into detailed structural drawings.
• Review vendor data and incorporate interface details into structural design packages.
• Participate in model reviews, design checks, and interdisciplinary coordination sessions.
• Assist in material take-offs and support preparation of construction packages.
• Provide input during constructability reviews and design optimizations.
• Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in structural design, with at least 7 years in the engineering phase of onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of FEED and Detailed Engineering deliverables.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart 3D, STAAD, Navisworks, or equivalent.
• Experience working with international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASTM, ASCE).
• Experience with ADNOC or other major oil & gas clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and manage multiple priorities.
