Title: Structural Design Engineer Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates Experience: Minimum 5 years : We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer with expertise in Reinforced Concrete (RCC) and Steel structures to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, with a strong background in both RCC and Steel. Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects using RCC and Steel materials.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural requirements into overall project designs.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for construction purposes.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions and provide recommendations as needed.
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to structural engineering.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafting teams as required.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams to discuss design requirements and progress.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master\'s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on RCC and Steel structures.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Experience working on projects in the UAE or Gulf region is preferred.
