One of our esteemed clients in the Steel Fabrication Industry is currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer to be based in Sharjah with expertise in structural engineering, particularly in the UAE market. The ideal candidate should be proficient in design, analysis, and construction of structural elements for various types of buildings and structures. Proficiency in STAAD PRO and a strong knowledge of steel structures are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analyse, and develop structural elements for buildings and other structures, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Develop detailed structural plans, specifications, and calculations, considering factors such as materials, loads, and safety.
• Review and evaluate shop drawings to verify their accuracy and alignment with design plans.
• Utilize STAAD PRO software for structural analysis and design, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Apply strong knowledge of steel structures to design and analyse steel components effectively.
• Leverage a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience to navigate local regulations, construction practices, and market dynamics.
• Ensure that structural designs meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, documentation, and project records.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in STAAD PRO software is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures is essential.
• UAE experience of at least 5 years is mandatory.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
