The Store Keeper (Material) is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining material stocks in the store or warehouse. This role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials as per the organization's procedures to ensure efficient inventory management and smooth supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders or delivery notes.
Store materials in an orderly and accessible manner in designated locations.
Maintain proper records of stock through manual logs or inventory management systems.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
Issue materials as per approved requisitions and maintain documentation.
Ensure all items are properly labeled and tagged with item codes.
Conduct regular physical inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards within the store area.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production, logistics) for smooth material flow.
Prevent damage, theft, or loss of materials through secure and organized storage.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Office tools.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
