Job Description
A storekeeper is urgently needed who will be responsible for managing inventory, which includes receiving, storing, and issuing goods while maintaining accurate records of stock levels. Key responsibilities include organizing storage spaces, conducting regular stock checks to prevent discrepancies, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. They also handle tasks like processing orders and coordinating with suppliers and other departments. Core roles and responsibilities
Inventory management:
Oversee all aspects of inventory, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular physical counts, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accuracy.Receiving and dispatching:
Accept, inspect, and unpack incoming shipments, check for damage or errors, and organize goods for storage or dispatch.Storage and organization:
Store items in designated locations, keep the store clean, organized, and hazard-free, and manage the stock layout for easy accessibility.Record keeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions, including goods received, issued, and returned.Stock control:
Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions when supplies are low, while also ensuring stock rotation and handling expired or surplus items.Safety and compliance:
Ensure that storage and handling of goods follow safety regulations and organizational policies, including proper documentation and a safe working environment.Coordination and communication:
Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and management to ensure smooth operations, meet logistical needs, and provide necessary documentation like material received reports.Job Type: Full-time
