We are seeking a reliable and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our construction materials store at [insert project site or central warehouse]. The Store Manager will be responsible for efficient material management, inventory control, timely issuance, and safety compliance, playing a vital role in supporting project timelines and minimizing material wastage.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Maintain accurate stock levels through regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
Implement and monitor FIFO/LIFO systems as applicable.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and site execution teams for material requirements.
Ensure proper storage conditions to avoid damage, contamination, or loss.
Maintain detailed documentation including goods receipt notes (GRN), material issue slips, and stock registers.
Supervise storekeepers, helpers, and logistics staff.
Implement material tracking systems using ERP/software tools.
Oversee timely disposal or return of excess, obsolete, or damaged stock.
Ensure adherence to HSE and quality standards in material handling and storage.
Generate daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports for management.
