Job Summary:

The Stone Cutting Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of stone cutting machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime. The role supports continuous production by maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on stone cutting equipment, including saws, cutters, polishing machines, and related machinery. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, with a strong focus on electrical systems. Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. Replace or repair defective components such as blades, motors, drives, sensors, control panels, wiring, belts, bearings, and control systems. Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, PLC interfaces (where applicable), and control systems to ensure reliable operation. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts usage. Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize operational downtime. Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment when required. Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability, electrical safety, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent). Proven experience maintaining stone cutting or similar industrial equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, control panels, wiring, and fault diagnostics. Solid understanding of mechanical systems and working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and maintenance drawings. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Awareness of workplace safety standards, electrical safety practices, and preventive maintenance procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
