The technician ensures all electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems function efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair restaurant and kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, coffee machines, chillers, and cold rooms.
Perform regular preventive maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and extend machine lifespan.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions in kitchen appliances and refrigeration systems.
Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, thermostats, compressors, and heating elements.
Calibrate and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Maintain detailed service records and report recurring technical issues to management.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry standards.
Coordinate with the restaurant's operations and kitchen teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to service.
Assist in installing new equipment and provide user guidance to staff when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration Maintenance (or a related field)
Minimum 2 years of experience.
