Key Responsibilities:

Sanitation and Cleaning:

Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of all dairy processing equipment, utensils, and surfaces. Ensure that all cleaning agents and sanitizers are used according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. Regularly check and clean storage areas, ensuring all items are properly organized and labeled.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and local, state, and federal regulations. Monitor and report any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor.

Quality Control:

Assist in maintaining high standards of product quality and hygiene throughout the production process. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning. Record and maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation as required by quality assurance protocols.

Inventory and Supplies:

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels. Coordinate with the Supervisor to order necessary supplies in a timely manner. Properly store and handle all chemicals and cleaning agents, following safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines.

Operational Support:

Assist with the setup and breakdown of dairy processing equipment as needed. Provide support to production staff during peak times or as directed by the Manager. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in sanitation or food safety preferred. Previous experience in a dairy processing or food production environment. Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, including the safe handling of chemicals. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a dairy processing facility, which may involve exposure to cold temperatures, humidity, and noise. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
