Key Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and monitor
daily fabrication activities
to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
Manage
fabrication bays
, including manpower allocation, material handling, and coordination with QA/QC, planning, and welding teams.
Ensure
fabrication quality
meets project specifications, drawings, and international standards.
Review fabrication drawings and ensure all works are carried out as per approved shop drawings and procedures.
Identify and resolve technical and production-related issues promptly.
Coordinate with project engineers, production managers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of fabricated components.
Maintain safety standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the workshop.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and ensure compliance with project timelines.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
in
Mechanical Engineering
.
Minimum
5 years of solid experience
in handling
complex structural steel fabrication works
in a workshop environment.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and material specifications
.
Familiar with
international fabrication and quality standards such as AISC, AWS, BS, and Euro Codes
Experience with
production planning and resource management
.
Ability to interpret
shop drawings and erection sequences
.
Knowledge of
QA/QC processes
and fabrication documentation.
