Job Description

The Senior Steel Fabrication Engineer is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing or production operations within team. They are responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting production schedule as per the projects' requirements, managing resources, and maintaining product quality.

The Senior Steel Fabrication Engineer leads a team of welder and helpers and collaborates with the project managers on the timeline and installation schedules at site.

The Senior Steel Fabrication Engineer implements strategies to optimize productivity and achieve operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

Proven experience of 5 years as a Production Engineer or in a similar production leadership role in construction or interior fit-out company.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management.

Excellent leadership, coordination and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop production plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet sites/projects demand and production targets. Coordinate with the procurement team and operations planning team to ensure alignment between production and installation schedules. Coordinate with the design team to ensure alignment between design and production requirements. Ability to abide by project program and implementation. Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in production management. Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs to mitigate workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
