We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Staff Food Chef to plan and prepare nutritious, delicious, and budget-conscious meals for our restaurant staff. This role is critical in supporting team morale and energy levels during service shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare daily staff meals (typically lunch and dinner) for staff members.
Ensure meals are well-balanced, varied, and meet dietary preferences or restrictions as needed.
Cook meals using available ingredients with minimal waste and maximum creativity.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the staff meal prep area.
Coordinate with the kitchen team and Head Chef to manage surplus inventory and reduce food waste.
Monitor food safety and sanitation standards during meal preparation and service.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a professional kitchen or catering role.
A diploma is a plus from a related field, but not required.
Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Ability to adapt menus based on available ingredients and staff feedback.
Team player with a positive attitude.
