This role is responsible for managing pre-season and in-season Planning & Buying of Performance Apparel for Own Retail concept stores. In this role you are part of a team responsible for maximizing the sales, profitability & brand equity of the MENA region by building the merchandising strategy for the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Buying Manager, Senior Manager (Concept Store) and Director Merchandising MENA in executing MENA DTC merchandising goals and drive execution of DTC Strategy.
Deliver financial targets including Net sales, Sell through, Standard Margin.
Have a clear understanding of the competitive landscape and create strategies that will help us compete and outpace our competitors.
Liaise with Operations to ensure we gain in depth consumer insights & implement learnings into pre-season & in-season strategy.
In-depth product & market knowledge of performance segments.
Contribute to pre-season planning including Open-To-Buy (OTB) plan, pre-season product planning, option planning and ranging.
Drive weekly trade reports to optimize in-season trading opportunities.
Own the process of ranging, execution and assortment planning strategies for own retail stores.
Store visits as needed and advised by the business.
Excellent excel proficiencies with the ability to devise macro\xe2\x80\x99s, develop and elevate buying processes through efficient excel reporting.
Additional: Power BI tool, Micro-strategy, other dynamic reporting systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Creative and clear passion for product and sports.
Strong process and project management skills
Proficiency on MS Office Applications Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Good understanding of Retail Management processes & systems
Ability to influence and drive consensus and solutions with cross functional teams
Ability to write reports, business correspondence.
Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently, additional language skills beneficial.
Ability to travel both domestic and internationally as needed.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Buying, Product Design, Fashion Design, Retail Management, Business Management, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
4 Years+ overall work experience in Merchandising/Retail projects.
