Sr. Specialist B&M Space Planning UAE

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This role will be required to support the Merchandise function in driving profitability & maximizing sell through by aligning the retail space to the product strategies.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring profitability by detailed analysis of space, capacity & inventory. Developing reports to identify opportunities, capacities and inventory, facilitate seasonal changes for the cluster with other retail functions in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up a process to maintain accurate database of all floorplans, space & capacity.
• Prepare & analyze weekly space & inventory productivity reports.
• Identify opportunities & make proposals for in season changes to maximize store potential.
• Utilize pre-season and in-season planning and projections throughout the year to ensure sufficient stock levels.
• Serves as a key liaison between Merchandising, Omni & Store development to implement seasonal changes.
• Provide fact-based product input and feedback for internal/external stakeholders.
• Conduct Pre/Post analysis of seasonal space moves.
• Have a clear understanding of the competitive landscape and create strategies that will help us compete and outpace.
• Liaise with Operations to ensure we gain in depth consumer insights & implement learnings into pre-season & in-season strategy.
• Store visits as needed and advised by the business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Structured, organized, and process oriented.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong work ethic.
• Intermediate to advanced MS office skills (Excel is a must).
• Understanding of relevant Retail management and back office systems.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree Marketing / Business/ Sales focus/ Economics.
• 3-4 years merchandising experience - similar capacity.
