Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Senior QA/QC Engineer - Aluminum & Facade

to lead and manage all quality assurance and control activities across both factory and site operations. This role involves overseeing a QA/QC team, implementing robust quality systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. The ideal candidate will be capable of training team members, maintaining accurate documentation, and driving continuous quality improvement throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage QA/QC activities for aluminum and facade works in both factory and site environments. Supervise, mentor, and train QA/QC inspectors to ensure consistent adherence to project and company quality standards. Implement, monitor, and update the approved QA/QC plan, procedures, and inspection/testing programs. Conduct and review inspections of materials, fabrication processes, and site installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors for material approvals and work inspections. Review and approve IRs, MIRs, and NCRs; ensure timely closure of non-conformities and implementation of corrective actions. Evaluate and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for quality compliance. Ensure proper installation of facade systems such as curtain walls, ACP cladding, structural glazing, unitized systems, and louvers. Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation including inspection logs, test reports, and material traceability records. Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with ISO and project-specific quality systems. Identify, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives within factory and site operations. Provide technical guidance, training, and support to production and site teams to enhance overall workmanship standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 6-10 years of progressive QA/QC experience in aluminum and facade projects, with hands-on exposure to both factory and site operations. Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience guiding and developing QA/QC personnel. In-depth knowledge of facade systems (unitized, stick, curtain wall, ACP, structural glazing, etc.). Proven experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies. Excellent understanding of technical drawings, QA/QC procedures, and document control requirements. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with international testing standards for aluminum and glazing systems. Practical experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and audit requirements. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and mentoring capabilities.
