Principal accountabilities of a Sr. Process Engineer are:
1. Conduct Process Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase
through to; engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
2. Ensure the required QatarEnergy technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety
policies are incorporated and followed, in work-scopes and whist conducting Process Engineering activities. Review
technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices.
3. Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply QatarEnergy standards and QatarEnergy amendment to
external standards.
4. Plan and co-ordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to
meet the project requirements.
5. Co-ordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering
activities. Ensure that the work-scope is comprehensive and clear.
6. Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance. Liaise with
contracted organizations to resolve technical issues.
7. Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling
activities and effective project delivery
8. Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.

ENGINEERING SERVICES
Primary purpose of job
Process Engineers provide engineering services in various stages of Projects (Concept development, Feasibility study (FS),
Pre-FEED / Concept Optimization (CO), FEED and EPIC). Process Engineers also provide input to Request for
Engineering Services (RES) and Statement of Requirements (SOR) raised by QatarEnergy Operations for existing facilities
trouble shooting / improvement.
Process Engineers develop in-house design for RES, SOR, FS/CO & FEED (for small projects). Also, review deliverables
produced by Contractors for various stages of Projects.
Experience & Skills
1. 10 years relevant post graduate experience related to the Oil & Gas.
2. Experience should cover feasibility studies, Pre-FEED (concept optimization), FEED and EPIC for onshore and offshore
facilities. Experience and knowledge of Process design and process units integrations are required.
3. Should be familiar with Process simulation software's, international standards and Shell DEPs (preferable).
4. Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Process Engineering.
5. Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
6. Good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English
Education
1. Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.
2. Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
