If so, we want you to join our Team as a Senior Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist by applying your experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. You will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Global Supply Chain Team within the Defense Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems related to B-2 and other aircraft platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass the full range of complex procurement and acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of procurement requirements while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. You will apply your understanding of the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration. You will use your ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.Within the GSC organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in multiple areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology. Responsibilities:Sourcing and procuring goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers. Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers, will provide direct support to management for oversight of bill of material submissions, including applied escalation factors, all levels of required approval coordination, in accordance with corporate compliance and legal requirements, and provides support for overall procurement requirements for the site.In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.Issues purchase orders. Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with on time deliveries, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Basic Qualifications:Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 14 years of relevant experienceWill consider 10 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree or 8 year of relevant experience with Master'sSolid understanding of procurement principles, policies, procedures, and regulations Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task, make decisions in a timely manner and display strong interpersonal skillsSolid knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations is requisiteStrong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with myriad levels of the organization including but not limited to developing and delivering to sector, division, business unit and Customer LeadershipAbility to maintain high level of confidence in the areas of supply chain along with relative understanding of basic projectMust be able to obtain and hold a Secret clearanceUS Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environmentProfessional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, TelecommunicationsSAP experienceKnowledge of FAR/DFARDemonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable,Familiarity with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as: long term agreements and intellectual property agreements.Demonstrated negotiation experienceExperience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Salary Range: $85,900.00 - $128,900.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
