Job Purpose:

The Senior MEP Project Engineer oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on construction sites. This role ensures that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in line with project specifications, timelines, authority regulations, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise all MEP installations and works on-site. Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to ensure MEP integration with civil works. Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. Ensure that all MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, etc.) comply with design specifications, codes, and authority requirements. Conduct technical and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams. Track and report MEP project progress, risks, and delays. Lead and mentor junior MEP engineers and site teams. Review and validate as-built drawings and O&M manuals. Liaise with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and quality management systems. Assist in the testing, commissioning, and handover process of all MEP systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 8-12 years of experience in MEP project engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior role. Proven experience in managing MEP works in high-rise buildings, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of DEWA/ADDC, Civil Defense, and other local authority regulations. Familiar with project management software (Primavera, MS Project) and AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.

Strong leadership and coordination skills. Ability to read and interpret complex MEP drawings. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication. Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
