Role Summary

The Senior HSE Officer is responsible for enforcing health, safety, and environmental protocols on project sites to ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and G & B's internal safety policies. The role includes conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations across high-rise building construction projects, while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor project-specific HSE plans in alignment with local authority regulations and company policy. Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Lead accident/incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Deliver HSE induction programs and tool-box talks to site workers, staff, and subcontractors. Ensure proper use of PPE and safety gear across the site. Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, etc. Liaise with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and third-party auditors for inspections and approvals. Maintain and organize HSE documentation, including daily reports, risk registers, and training records. Participate in HSE meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support the emergency response team and conduct drills regularly.

Skills & Competencies Required

In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE legislation, local authority requirements, and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and incident analysis. Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments and labor force. Practical knowledge of safety protocols in high-rise and tower construction environments. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), incident reporting tools, and HSE documentation systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) from a recognized university -

NEBOSH IGC Certification -

Mandatory

Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the UAE construction industry (preferably in high-rise buildings) Certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Internal HSE Auditing are an added advantage

Preferred Experience

Prior work with leading contracting companies in the UAE or GCC, especially in high-rise building construction Experience dealing with consultants, client HSE teams, and local government safety inspections Familiarity with documentation and compliance procedures during authority audits

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
