Senior General Accountant

to take charge of our finance function and ensure strong financial governance across the business.

Role Overview

The

Senior General Accountant

will manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations at Translight Electricals. This role is ideal for a well-rounded finance professional with the ability to independently handle all accounting processes, ensure compliance, and provide insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the company's end-to-end accounting cycle, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial closing. Prepare, review, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee cash flow, working capital, and budgeting processes to ensure financial stability. Handle VAT/tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting in line with UAE/local laws. Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. Partner with management to provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations for strategic decisions. Coordinate with banks, auditors, and external consultants as needed. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable). Continuously improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred).

5-7 years of progressive accounting experience

, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT/tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and manage multiple priorities.
