Switzel International is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering BIM, design, and engineering services for major projects across the Middle East. We are seeking an experienced

BIM Coordinator (MEP)

to join our team in Qatar and support project delivery through advanced model coordination, data management, and cross-discipline collaboration.

Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator (MEP) will be responsible for coordinating MEP models, managing design integration with other disciplines, and ensuring all deliverables comply with project BIM standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in building systems, BIM workflows, and coordination platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) BIM models across all project phases. Ensure clash-free integration of MEP services with architectural and structural models. Review, implement, and enforce BIM standards, naming conventions, and workflows. Perform clash detection using Navisworks and manage issue tracking and resolution. Work closely with design engineers and BIM modelers to maintain model accuracy and quality. Support the implementation of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and information exchange protocols. Prepare coordination inputs for 4D/5D workflows when required. Communicate effectively with project teams and clients to align technical deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline). Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in BIM coordination for large-scale MEP projects. Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360. Strong knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards and ISO 19650 workflows. Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project environments. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Middle East experience is preferred.
