Job Description

We are seeking a

Senior Architectural Draftsman

with extensive experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry to support the delivery of high-end commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential interior projects.

This role is highly technical and execution-focused, responsible for producing fully coordinated, construction-ready and shop-level drawings that can be directly used for site execution and fabrication. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on drafting experience, understands interior construction methods in depth, and has worked closely with designers, project managers, production teams, and site engineers within a fit-out environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Interior & Architectural Drafting

Prepare detailed architectural and interior fit-out drawings, including layouts, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and coordination drawings. Lead the preparation of interior shop drawings for floors, walls, ceilings, bespoke joinery, furniture, and custom-built elements. Develop construction-level and fabrication-ready details, ensuring clarity for site execution. Translate approved design intent into accurate, buildable, and cost-conscious drawings.

Materials & High-End Finish Detailing

Produce detailed drawings for interior finishes, including flooring patterns, wall cladding, ceilings, joinery, and feature elements. Detail high-end materials such as stone, marble, metal finishes, wood veneers, laminates, and bespoke joinery systems. Prepare material layouts, cutting plans, junction details, fixing methods, and installation sequences. Ensure detailing aligns with project specifications, budgets, and execution constraints.

Technical Coordination & Leadership

Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, and interior trades to eliminate clashes and execution issues. Review architectural, interior, and consultant drawings for constructability and coordination. Resolve technical discrepancies between drawings, BOQs, specifications, and site conditions. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior draftsmen.

Site & Execution Support

Conduct site measurements and verification prior to drawing finalization. Support site teams during execution with clarification drawings, revisions, and technical solutions. Attend coordination meetings with project managers, designers, consultants, and site engineers. Ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and approved materials.

Documentation & Quality Control

Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and approval logs. Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, authority requirements, and project specifications. Support internal QA/QC reviews to maintain a high standard of drawing accuracy and execution quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

Minimum 10+ years of experience as an Interior / Architectural Draftsman (mandatory). Mandatory experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry. Proven experience delivering commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential interior fit-out projects. Strong background working with fit-out contractors or design-build environments. GCC experience is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory). Working knowledge of SketchUp / Revit / 3D coordination tools is an advantage. Strong understanding of interior construction methods, materials, and installation techniques. Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Proficient in MS Office for technical documentation and reporting.
