Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled

Senior Accountant

to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will bring a strong

retail accounting background

, deep

technical knowledge

of IFRS, and experience in inventory and multi-store retail environments. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting business decisions, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a fast-growing fragrance business.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations) Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Oversee retail inventory accounting, including stock movement, shrinkage, and COGS Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and retail store accounts Ensure compliance with

UAE VAT laws

,

IFRS

, and local regulatory requirements Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting Ensure integrity and accuracy of data in accounting and ERP systems Drive automation and improvements in accounting processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred) Minimum

5-7 years of accounting experience

, with at least 2 years in

retail or FMCG

in the UAE Strong technical knowledge of

IFRS

,

UAE VAT

, and internal controls Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines Previous experience in the

perfume, beauty, or luxury goods
