ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Director of Events
To work with the Director in identifying new opportunities for the event
Expected to form and lead a new team of sales professionals in due course and then would be responsible to ensure targets of the team are achieved
Actively promote and sell exhibition space and sponsorship
To conduct a telephone sales campaign to past exhibitors and new prospects
To conduct face-to-face sales to current exhibitors, past exhibitors and new prospects
To source new companies in these marketplaces from the trade press and competitive events by effective research online.
To actively seek out and follow through effectively on new prospects
Liaise with Associations and Trade Bodies
Develop and maintain long term relationships with current customers and prospects, understanding their business and marketing needs
To develop and manage the prospect database
To maintain contact with exhibitors and deliver a high standard of customer service
To achieve individual and event revenue targets
Update and maintain accurate 'Sales Force' records
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3 years of experience required in the same field handling the above-mentioned tasks.
Fluent in English written and verbal, other languages an advantage.
Salesforce CRM knowledge is an Advantage
Research Skills is an Advantage
The Person should easily adapt, be flexible and communicate in an excellent and professional manner with colleagues and clients.
