Certification and Internal Surveillance Program of the Sector
Perform audits of any (internal/external, as applicable) client to determine compliance with the applicable standards.
Assist in the development of the annual (internal and external) oversight (surveillance) programs to ensure compliance with standards.
Make Q-Pulse (auditing system) the primary tool for executing the surveillance programme efficiently by uploading / monitoring regularly the implementation of the surveillance programme, screening the audit reports, actioning proactively open findings, ensuring availability of the checklist.
Ensure that the deficiencies identified in the audit reports or during regular oversight are acted upon by the client, bringing any overdue or sensitive items (like violations) to the attention of the appropriate line manager.
Carry out appropriate ROSI investigation for the clients he is responsible for to determine the cause of incidents and prevent future occurrences and direct coordination with other disciplines (if necessary).
Participate in the implementation of internal surveillance program to ascertain compliance with standards (e.g., monitor the GCAA Inspectors performing an audit of an external client).
Document Management
Maintain a comprehensive record of relevant certification, reports, recommendations and general documents to ensure an accurate record and evidence base.
Safety Policy / Safety Promotion and Culture
Provide technical guidance to employees and clients' management and staff regarding the adequacy of processes, controls, and practices to prevent future occurrences/incidents/accidents.
Provide information and advice to Line Manager on policy issues affecting clients to ensure adequacy of GCAA's policies with industry needs.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Implementation of Safety Affairs functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Safety Affairs function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality safety services to the UAE civil aviation industry in accordance with customer service standards.
Propose changes to internal and external standards as a result of the audits to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop checklists for the conduct of audit to standardize the assessment of a client.
Reporting
Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.
Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards
Other Tasks/ Accountability
