Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Patient Safety to join a leading government healthcare organization in Dubai. This position plays a vital role in enhancing patient safety practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement patient safety programs and initiatives.
• Lead the analysis of patient safety incidents, near misses, and adverse events to identify root causes and contributing factors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve safety processes and mitigate risks.
• Act as a subject matter expert in patient safety, providing guidance to clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Support the development of policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with international standards.
• Conduct assessments of safety practices and drive initiatives to strengthen safety culture.
• Oversee reporting and performance metrics to evaluate the impact of safety efforts.
• Deliver training and mentorship to staff on patient safety principles and practices.
• Act as a liaison and consultant to healthcare facilities, supporting local implementation of safety initiatives.

• Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Health Information Management, Science, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Masters degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare quality or patient safety.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or facilitating interdisciplinary improvement teams in a healthcare setting.
