To make sure that all activities related to quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities in the Quality and Patient Safety Department and within the laboratory and service center. Implement established Quality Management System, as per approved policies, procedures, and related safety standards, and within the CAP, ISO, and JCI accreditation standards in place, and meet all local MOPH requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Spearheads the preparation of the Organization for International Accreditations. Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCI), College of American Pathologists Accreditation (CAP), and International Organization of Standardization 9001:2015 Accreditation (ISO).
Monitor the compliance of the Company with Quality Management Standards.
Identify and resolve workflow and Quality System issues by developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions, bringing areas in line with standards.
Handle Incident Reports by Making Root Cause Investigation and CAPA Plans.
Spearhead the preparation of the Requirements for the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) Facility License Renewal Assessment for all healthcare branches of the organization.
Work closely with Departmental Managers to ensure that the Department is adhering to the Quality Management System.
Review Policies and ensure that Policies are implemented by conducting regular quality rounds and annual audits across the Facility.
Identify control gaps in processes, procedures, and systems through in-depth research and assessment, and suggest methods for improvement.
Facilitate Annual Quality System Audit for Departments, working with Internal Managers to communicate recommendations and issues surrounding the Audit.
Support Healthcare Campaign Participation to spread awareness regarding important Healthcare Topics (Patient Safety Day, Infection Prevention and Control Week, Breast Cancer Awareness, etc).
Provide Quality and Patient Safety Training to both New and Existing Employees.
Formulate policies to improve the operation.
Create Educational Materials to promote Awareness of Standards through Newsletters, Educational Videos, and Pamphlets.
Qualification & Requirements
BSc in Medical Science, Biology, Chemistry, or other related science.
+5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or Patient Safety or Quality Improvement experience.
Experience in QMS and International Accreditations.
Experience in MOPH Facility Licensing and Regulatory Accreditations.
Knowledge in Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge of various international accreditation/certification systems. (Joint Commission International Accreditation, College of American Pathologists Accreditation, and ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation.
Knowledge of international guidelines on safety-related standards.
Knowledge in Quality Concepts: Principles in Lean Thinking, 5S, Six Sigma etc.
