JOB SUMMARY:

\xc3\x82 Practice the Specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and ensure compliance with generally accepted standards and medical practice. \xc3\x82 Actively and effectively perform procedures as privileged in the Hospital and consistent with your credentials. \xc3\x82 To provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective for health promotion, disease prevention and treatment. \xc3\x82 To be aware of established and evolving medical and clinical sciences, and the application of knowledge to patient care and the education of others. \xc3\x82 To follow practice-based learning and improvement, using evidence based and scientific methods to investigate, to evaluate and to improve patient care practices. \xc3\x82 Consistently adhere to the Hospital\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2s Policies, Quality Standards, Code of Ethics and By-Laws. \xc3\x82 Ensure skilled professional behavior, and act a role model to the staff in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. \xc3\x82 Ensure the day-to-day provision of the highest standards of clinical care within the available resources. \xc3\x82 Implement the Department\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2s policies and procedures regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow-up practices. \xc3\x82 Assists with Consultant staff in ensuring adequate medical coverage is provided within the Department at all times.

\xc3\x82 To participate in improving initiatives within the Department. \xc3\x82 To meet and exceed customer expectations through the development and promotion of key principles that support customer satisfaction. \xc3\x82 To deal appropriately with complaints when necessary. \xc3\x82 To asses risk, report incidents and to participate in Risk Management processes. \xc3\x82 To ensure efficient and effective communication with patients, families and other members of the healthcare teams. \xc3\x82 To demonstrate professionalism and that is reflected in a commitment to continuous professional development, ethical practices, an understanding and sensitivity to diversity, and a responsible attitude towards patients. \xc3\x82 To follow system-based practices, through the understanding of the contexts and systems in which healthcare is provided.

Education Requirements \xc3\x82 MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution or as defined by DOH PQR. \xc3\x82 Certificate of Completion of specialty training recognized by DOH or as defined by DOH PQR.

Licenses, Registrations & Certifications Requirements

• Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (Where applicable).
• DOH License as Specialist Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Professional Experience Required (Relevant to the Job) \xc3\x82 Minimum 3 years of experience post specialist qualification or as defined by DOH PQR.
