Responsibilities
The role is a deeply technical role that spans system administration right through to benchmarking and application optimisation - and everything in between
You will be on the front lines of ensuring that the HPC system designs fulfill and exceed our customer's demanding requirements for scale, performance, usability, reliability, and manageability.
Lead Presales builds and installations of High Performance computing systems.
Leverage your deep knowledge of Linux systems engineering/administration to optimize existing and new HPC platforms.
Scope :
Developing technical collaborations with customers in order to demonstrate the benefits of Atos HPC technologies within their own environment and workloads.
Working closely with the Sales and business teams and collaborating with technology partners that are designing some of industries leading technologies (such as Intel, Mellanox, Nvidia etc)
Occasionally delivering hands-on workshops or seminars to provide the necessary positioning and demonstration of the benefits of HPC technologies to the wider community.
Establishing a collaborative working relationship with Senior Architects and Engineers from our Business Units and our Industry
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred (technical field) with 5- 7 years working experience in related field desired.
A proven track record of success in large scale hardware and software builds, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of LINUX-based software, networks, filesystems, applications, and system management tools
HPC-related experience, ideally with large-scale HPC, parallel file systems (Lustre), and their administration and support
Understanding of GPU and accelerator technologies
Experience in alternative low power architectures such as ARM
Knowledge of the underlying infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
Experience of Linux Cluster Management (ie: Rocks/IBM Platform or Bright)
Experience with project planning and management, process management and team or project leadership
Ability to clearly document processes and procedures with a focus on mentoring and sharing knowledge
Open to travel for training, meetings and to support remote systems is required
